IMPORTANT STUFF
Your Wellbeing Is Paramount
So that we can give you the best and safest treatment it's really important at the time of booking that you tell us
if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant - even if you haven't told anyone else yet.
Please be aware that parking can take a few minutes to find and try to arrive a short while before your treatment time to make yourself comfortable, choose a nail colour etc. This will ensure your treatment time is all treatment.
Pedicures: Please remember to bring flipflops or open-toed sandals with you.
Nail polish takes a good 3hrs to dry hard despite the fact that nails may appear touch-dry much sooner.
The alternative is a Shellac pedicure where the polish is completely dry at the end of the treatment.
Parking in the area, whilst free, can be a little tricky to find .
Please leave plenty of time since we are usually fully booked so unable to extend treatment times.
In order to ensure a safe and quiet space for all our customers we cannot accommodate babies or young children
in the waiting area or treatment rooms.
Cancellation Policy
Services and treatments require pre-payment at the time of booking.
If an appointment is rescheduled or cancelled without the required 24hrs minimum notice,
the appointment fee will be taken in full.
Returns Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase however, if you are not completely satisfied for any reason,
you may exchange it up to 15 days after it was bought.
Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
Proof of purchase is required.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Vouchers
Our vouchers are valid for 18 months.
If you would rather we wrote a treatment name on the voucher, not the amount,
please be aware that if treatment prices go up in the intervening year and a half
the voucher will remain at the value paid at purchase.

Aged five I gave my father the shock of his life.
He walked into the bathroom of our three bedroom semi in Leeds to find me balanced precariously on a tall wooden stool looking at him through the mirror. The reflected sight that greeted him was of a beautifully made up small child staring back. Foundation, rouge - as it was called then, bright blue eyeshadow with a lighter accent on the brow bone, a little eyebrow pencil, mascara, perfectly painted red lips and, to top it all off, an artfully applied beauty spot on my left cheek of the type beloved by my mum Alma.
The alarm on his face had nothing to do with the makeup and was all about the immediate worry of me falling off the stool; once that issue was resolved, the next was the make up. Not that I was wearing it, my dad was always relaxed about that sort of thing, but when had Mum put it on and why hadn’t she stayed with me in the bathroom? I explained that she was downstairs and I’d done it all by myself with her make up but I knew she wouldn’t mind. Mum was duly summoned. Unwilling to give my Dad the satisfaction of discovering something before her, and always very proud of any achievements of mine or my brother, no matter how small, she airily explained that I’d been using her make up for some time, which I’m not sure was true, but I’d certainly been observing her using her make up for quite a while.
To my mind, and with hindsight, this made me a child prodigy: ‘a person under the age of ten who produces meaningful work in some domain at the level of an adult expert’ - according to Wiki. With Mozart it was music, with me it was lipstick. And so it began…

I trained as a make up artist, later as a therapist and my abiding interest has always been the science of skincare and the ageing female face.
I made my mother up on hundreds of occasions throughout her long life and was fascinated by the way her face changed with age;
always beautiful but, differently so, as the years passed.
I've learnt so much about beauty in a career that's spanned nearly 50 years and am passionate about giving women confidence in themselves - which is why I opened Dr.Boo in 2005.
We take beauty, but not ourselves, very seriously.
